This is just as a PROOF to show the kind of Air Pollution Created by one factory who uses coal as a fuel fro BOILER situated at Kolshet Raod, behind Ghodbunder Road, Thane Maharashtra, INDIA.

In fact lot of black smoke is also seen in the night.

It is not possible to take photographs of Air Pollution in the night.

According to me daily consuming very small quantity of position is also harmful against consumption of good amount of position at a time.

Daily Air Pollution , let it be in the night also, is very harmful to humans.

In INDIA, Govt. Authorities doesn’t care dam about HUMANS, whereas because of fear of animal lovers, DOGS are being treated better than HUMANS.

It is a fact that Air Pollution is one of the reason for LUNGS CANCER.

Inspite of my fight against this air pollution for last 9 years, this is the TREU , REAL fact existing in Thane, INDIA.

Still we are forced to say MERA BHARAT MAHAAN.

Please through following photograph clicked on today i.e. on 9th Oct. 2011 @ around 14.30 hrs to show the speed / progress of the construction on the plot which is reserved for playing ground / garden.

From last 2/3 days, the construction work at the open reserved ground plot opp. To Hyde Park, near to Rajashree Indl. Estate, Ghodbunder Road , Thane, Maharashtra , INDIA is in full swing.

This is a clear example of KILLING OF A PLAY GROUND in the so called growing city of Thane, which itself doesnot have sufficient playing grounds.

It is a request to authorities to Stop making Thane a real concrete jungle .

Otherwise in future we have to take our children to Shivaji Park to show how a Ground look like .

Don’t kill these grounds for few influential people.

It is a shock that rather creating more play grounds in Thane for children, existing grounds are being KILLED.

I request THANEKARS to join us in this fight.

Killing of a play ground in Thane

In Thane, there are no Playing Grounds available to children and what ever small open grounds are available, instead of converting in to play grounds authorities just want to build concrete jungle.

This happens only in INDIA that initially UNCONTROLLED CONSTRUCTION is allowed and then it is demolished and then rehabilitation is provided fro them.

Who will look after needs of the present children, who wants to play in the open ares.

As such there is a huge controlled residential as well as commercial growth in THANE without giving importance to basic amenities like, Gardens, Play Grounds, etc. etc. and whatever small piece of ground is available, it is quickly killed.




We all should strongly oppose this and provide play grounds to children.

Think seriously and act upon immediately.

आता चेंडू रेल्वेच्या कोर्टात !

..तरच विटाव्यातील वाहतूक कोंडी सुटेल!

ठाणे/प्रतिनिधी

ठाणे आणि नवी मुंबई या दोन शहरांना जोडणाऱ्या ठाणे-बेलापूर रोडवरील विटावा येथील वाहतूक कोंडीची समस्या कायमची मिटविण्यासाठी हाती घेण्यात आलेल्या रेल्वे मार्गाखालील पुलाचे काम गेली तब्बल सहा वर्षे रखडले असून रेल्वे प्रशासनाने प्रत्यक्ष काम सुरू असताना गाडय़ांना ताशी २० किलोमीटरची वेगमर्यादा आणि प्रत्येक ट्रॅकखाली बॉक्स पुश करण्यासाठी तीन तासांचा ब्लॉक देण्याची वाट महापालिका प्रशासन पाहत आहे. येत्या काही दिवसांत ही मंजुरी मिळाली तरच पावसाळ्यापूर्वी विटावा पुलाचे काम पूर्ण होऊ शकेल, अन्यथा पुन्हा पावसाळ्याचे चार महिने वाट पाहावी लागणार आहे.




ठाणे-बेलापूर रस्ता ३० मीटर रुंद असला तरी सध्या अस्तित्वात असलेल्या पुलाची रुंदी केवळ ८ मीटर आहे. त्यामुळे या ठिकाणी नेहमीच वाहनांची कोंडी होते. ती कोंडी सुटण्यासाठी नऊ वर्षांपूर्वी २००२ मध्ये ठाणे-कळवा रेल्वे स्थानकांदरम्यान नवा पूल (आर.यू.बी.) बांधण्याचे काम निश्चित करण्यात आले. त्याच्या पुढच्याच वर्षी २००३ मध्ये या प्रकल्पाची वर्क ऑर्डर काढण्यात आली. २००५ मध्ये जवळजवळ अर्धे काम पूर्ण झाले आणि त्यानंतर रेल्वेने या कामाच्या आराखडय़ात काही बदल सुचविले. शासकीय पुलावरील स्लॅबऐवजी सीमेंट बॉक्स बसवावेत, असे रेल्वे प्रशासनाने सुचविले. त्यानुसार महापालिकेने आता सीमेंट बॉक्स तयारही केले आहेत. मात्र रेल्वेने अद्याप गती नियमन आणि ब्लॉकची परवानगी दिलेली नाही.
रेल्वे आणि महापालिका यांच्या या टोलवाटोलवीत या मार्गाने दररोज प्रवास करणाऱ्या हजारो प्रवाशांचा वेळ आणि लाखो रुपयांचे इंधन वाया जात आहे. अनेक वर्षे या पुलाचे काम रखडल्याने आता त्याचा खर्चही तब्बल चार कोटीेंनी वाढला आहे. रेल्वेने मान्यता दिल्यानंतर तीन महिन्यांत या पुलाचे काम पूर्ण होईल, असे महापालिकेचे म्हणणे आहे. अर्थात येत्या काही दिवसांतच तशी परवानगी दिली तरच त्याचा उपयोग आहे. कारण पावसाळा तोंडावर आला आहे. या पुलामुळे आता आहे त्यापेक्षा तब्बल दुप्पट लांबीचा मार्ग वाहनांना रेल्वे मार्गाखालून ये-जा करण्यासाठी उपलब्ध होणार आहे.
या पुलामुळे येथील वाहतूक कोंडीची समस्या फार मोठय़ा प्रमाणात सुटणार आहे.
एकूणच दोन प्राधिकरणे मिळून हे प्रकल्प राबविले जातात, तेव्हा त्यात ‘अनेकदा सरकारी काम आणि सहा महिने थांबह्ण असा नागरिकांना अनुभव येतो. ठाणेकरांनी याचा अनेकदा अनुभव घेतला आहे.
कोपरी पुलाचे काम असो वा रेल्वे स्थानकातील तिसऱ्या पादचारी पुलाचे, ठाणेकरांच्या पदरात कायम निराशाच पडली आहे. विटावा पुलाचे बांधकाम हे त्याचे ठळक उदाहरण आहे.
खरे तर या पुलाचे अर्धेअधिक काम २००५ मध्येच पूर्ण झाले होते. रेल्वेने वेळीच आवश्यक ते बदल सुचवून परवानग्या दिल्या असत्या तर चार वर्षांपूर्वीच हा पूल वाहतुकीसाठी खुला झाला असता. दोन प्राधिकरणांमध्ये समन्वयाचा अभाव असल्याने ते काम रखडले आहे.

घोडबंदर रोड येथील रवी स्टील आणि शांती प्रोसेशन या प्रदूषणकारी कंपन्यांच्या विरोधात स्थानिक रहिवाशांनी उभारलेल्या लढ्याला अखेर यश आले आहे. रवी स्टील या कंपनीने आपला गाशा या भागातून गुंडाळून भिवंडीला स्थलांतर केले आहे. शांती प्रोसेशन या कंपनीतील प्रदूषण मात्र सुरूच असून ते कमी करण्यासाठी आता रहिवाशांचे प्रयत्न सुरू आहेत.



घनदाट वनराईने नटलेला ठाण्यातील घोडबंदरचा परिसर हा एके काळी शुद्घ हवेसाठी परिचित होता. परंतु, झाडांची बेसुमार कत्तल करून येथे काँक्रिटचे जंगल उभे राहिले. बंद झालेल्या कारखान्यांच्या जागांवर टोलेजंग इमारती थाटल्या गेल्या. परंतु, या साऱ्या आक्रमणामुळे घोडबंदर परिसरातील रहिवाशांना शुद्ध हवेसाठी झगडावे लागत आहे. निवासी भागातील कंपन्यांमधून सोडला जाणारा वायू आणि रसायनमिश्रीत पाणी यामुळे येथील लोकांचे जगणे असह्य झाले होते. कंपन्यांच्या चिमण्यांमधून उत्सजिर्त होणाऱ्या वायूमुळे डोळे चुरचुरणे, मळमळ होणे, उग्र दर्पाच्या वायूमुळे अन्नावरील वासना उडणे अशा अनंत तक्रारी या भागातील रहिवासी करीत होते. सरकारी यंत्रणा त्याकडे दुर्लक्ष करत असल्याने सत्यजीत शहा या जागरुक नागरिकाच्या नेतृत्वाखाली कोलशेत रोड येथील श्रुती पार्क, माजिवडा येथिल रुणवाल रिजन्सी आणि ऑकिर्ड, पोखरण रोड नं. २ येथील ओस्वाल पार्क अशा अनेक सोसायट्यांनी शुद्ध हवेसाठी लढा उभारला होता.

प्रदूषण नियंत्रण विभागाच्या कार्यालयासमोर धरणे आंदोलन, कामगार उपायुक्त कार्यालयापासून ते थेट पर्यावरण मंत्री जयराम रमेश यांच्यापर्यंत तक्रारींचा पाढा, आ. संजय केळकर यांच्या सहकार्यांने विधिमंडळात उठविलेला आवाज असे विविध मार्ग अवलंबून स्थानिकांनी आपल्यावर होणाऱ्या अन्यायाला वाचा फोडण्याचा प्रयत्न केला. त्यातून या कंपन्यांना नोटिसाही धाडण्यात आल्या होत्या. गेल्या आठवड्यात अचानक रवी स्टील या कंपनीतील प्रदूषण बंद झाल्याने रहिवाशांना सुखद धक्का बसला. सत्यजीत शहा यांनी त्याबाबत चौकशी केल्यानंतर रवी स्टील या कंपनीने भिवंडीत स्थलांतर केल्याची माहिती पुढे आली आहे. 'रवी स्टीलमधून होणाऱ्या प्रदूषणातून आमची मुक्तता झाली असली तरी शांती प्रोसेशन या कंपनीच्या प्रदूषणाचा आजही आम्हाला त्रास होत आहे. ही कंपनी बंद व्हावी अशी आमची इच्छा नसून त्यांनी योग्य ती खबरदारी घेत प्रदूषण नियंत्रणात ठेवावे', असे मत सत्यजीत शहा यांनी व्यक्त केले आहे.

एकेकाळी औद्योगिक वसाहतींमुळे ठाण्याचे नाव राज्यातच नव्हे; तर आशिया खंडात अग्रेसर होते. गेल्या काही वर्षात येथील कारखाने बंद पडत गेले. घोडबंदर रोड परिसरातील कारखाने आणि उद्योगांच्या साम्राज्याला उतरती कळा लागली. सध्या काही कारखाने सुरू आहेत. त्यांच्या चिमण्यांतून बाहेर पडणा-या रासायनिक वायूंनी घोडबंदर रोड परिसरातील कोलशेत, माजिवडा भागातील रहिवाशांच्या आरोग्यापुढे प्रश्नचिन्ह निर्माण केले आहे.






मुंबई- ठाण्यातील वेगाने विकसित होत असलेल्या घोडबंदर परिसरातील रहिवासी वाढत्या प्रदूषणामुळे त्रस्त झाले आहेत. शहरापासून थोडे दूर निसर्गाच्या सान्निध्यात आणि स्वच्छ परिसरात राहण्याची स्वप्ने पाहात येथे स्थायिक झालेल्यांना धूळ, धूर आणि दूषित वायूंमुळे होणारी घुसमट सहन करावी लागत आहे.


एकेकाळी औद्योगिक वसाहतींमुळे ठाण्याचे नाव राज्यातच नव्हे; तर आशिया खंडात अग्रेसर होते. गेल्या काही वर्षात येथील कारखाने बंद पडत गेले. घोडबंदर रोड परिसरातील कारखाने आणि उद्योगांच्या साम्राज्याला उतरती कळा लागली. सध्या काही कारखाने सुरू आहेत. त्यांच्या चिमण्यांतून बाहेर पडणा-या रासायनिक वायूंनी घोडबंदर रोड परिसरातील कोलशेत, माजिवडा भागातील रहिवाशांच्या आरोग्यापुढे प्रश्नचिन्ह निर्माण केले आहे. येथील पाच कंपन्यांच्या बॉयलरमध्ये ज्वलनशील पदार्थ म्हणून कोळशाचा वापर मोठय़ा प्रमाणात केला जातो. त्यांच्यातून बाहेर पडणा-या काळ्या धुरामुळे वायुप्रदूषण होते. त्या कारखान्यांच्या चिमण्या कमी उंचीच्या आहेत. त्यामुळे इमारतींच्या भिंतीदेखील काळवंडल्या आहेत. विकासाच्या वाढत्या गतीबरोबर निसर्गाचे सान्निध्य दुरावू लागले आहे. अनेक गृहसंकुलांच्या रूपाने सिमेंट काँक्रिटचे जंगल उभे राहिले आहे. येथील जागांचे भाव प्रचंड वाढल्यामुळे काही कारखानदार येथेच ठाण मांडून बसले आहेत.

येथील रहिवासी सत्यजित सिंग आणि त्यांच्या सहका-यांनी येथील प्रदूषणाच्या समस्यांबाबत केंद्रीय पर्यावरणमंत्री, राज्याचे पर्यावरणमंत्री, पर्यावरण राज्यमंत्री, प्रदूषण नियंत्रण महामंडळाचे विभागीय अधिकारी, त्याचबरोबर ठाणे महापालिका आयुक्त अशा सर्व सरकारी यंत्रणांकडे तक्रारी केल्या आहेत. संबंधित यंत्रणांनी त्याकडे लक्ष देऊन घोडबंदर परिसर प्रदूषणमुक्त करावा, अशी मागणी जोर धरू लागली आहे.

वायुप्रदूषणामुळे तेथील रहिवाशांना वारंवार सर्दी-पडसे, श्वसनाचे विकार होतात. त्याचबरोबर त्वचाविकार, फुप्फुसांचे आजार, डोळे चुरचुरणे असे त्रासही होतात.- स्नेहल ठक्कर, स्थानिक डॉक्टर

कारखान्यांतून बाहेर पडणा-या धुरामुळे वायू प्रदूषण तर होत आहेच. शिवाय येथून सोडण्यात येणाऱ्या सांडपाण्यामुळे जलप्रदूषणाची समस्याही भेडसावू लागली आहे.- सत्यजित सिंग, रहिवासी

घोडबंदरवासियांचा आता प्रदूषणाविरुद्ध लढा

ठाणे/प्रतिनिधी, शुक्रवार, ११ मार्च २०११

निसर्गरम्य वातावरणाचा हवाला देऊन घोडबंदर रोडलगत वेगाने विकसीत होत असलेल्या नव्या ठाण्यातील रहिवासी तेथील काही कंपन्यांमधून सातत्याने सोडण्यात येणाऱ्या विषारी धुराविरुद्ध आंदोलन करण्याच्या पवित्र्यात आहेत. प्रदूषण नियंत्रण मंडळाकडे वारंवार पुराव्यानिशी तक्रार करूनही दोषी कारखान्यांविरुद्ध कारवाई करण्यात कुचराई होऊ लागल्याने या रहिवाशांनी आता हे आंदोलन अधिक व्यापक करण्याचा निर्णय घेतला आहे. त्याचाच एक भाग म्हणून अलिकडेच घोडबंदर परिसरात प्रदूषण करणाऱ्या कंपन्यांचे रितसर व्हिडीओ चित्रीकरण करून त्याच्या प्रती पुरावा म्हणून वितरीत करण्यात आल्या आहेत.
ठाण्याच्या या भागात पूर्वी औद्योगिक वसाहती होत्या, हे वास्तव असले तरी आता या भागात मोठय़ा प्रमाणात गृहसंकुले उभी राहिली आहेत. किंबहुना ठाण्याचा विस्तार प्राधान्याने याच भागात होत आहे. आता नवीन ठाणे म्हणून हा परिसर ओळखला जातो. या बदलत्या परिस्थितीतही कोळशाचा इंधन म्हणून मोठय़ा प्रमाणात वापर होणारे काही कारखाने इथे अजूनही अस्तित्वात आहेत. फुफ्फुसाचा कॅन्सर उद्भविण्यास हवेतील प्रदूषण हे एक प्रमुख कारण आहे. त्यामुळे या कारखान्यांना प्रदूषण नियंत्रण यंत्रणा बसविण्यास भाग पाडावे, यासाठी घोडबंदर रोड परिसरात राहणारे काही नागरिक आग्रही आहेत. त्यात भारत कदम, दीपाली पाटील, महेश जोशी, मैथिली चेंदवणकर, प्रांजल राऊत, आर.आर.जाधव, सत्यजित अहेर, शंकर तलवार, सुहास पोतनीस, सुनील बारहाते, तांबे, सत्यजित शहा आदींचा त्यात समावेश आहे. सत्यजीत शहा यांनी माहितीच्या अधिकारात कोळशाचा इंधन म्हणून वापर करणाऱ्या कारखान्यांची माहिती मागविली. त्यातून उघड झालेल्या माहितीनुसार ठाण्यात माजिवडा, कोलशेत रोड, बाळकूम आणि आझादनगर येथे कोळशाच्या इंधन म्हणून वापर करणारे पाच कारखाने असल्याचे उघड झाले आहे. घोडबंदर परिसरात पूर्वी तीन कारखाने होते. आता दोन कंपन्या कार्यरत आहेत. आमचा कंपन्यांना विरोध नसून त्या करीत असलेल्या प्रदूषणास आहे. त्यांनी प्रदूषण नियंत्रित ठेवून उत्पादन काढावे, त्याला आमची हरकत असणार नाही, असे शहा यांनी ‘वृत्तान्त'शी बोलताना सांगितले. कोळशाचा इंधन म्हणून वापर करणारे तारापूर औद्योगिक वसाहतीमध्ये ३४ कारखाने आहेत तर तलासरी, डहाणू आणि पालघरमध्ये आठ कारखाने आहेत, अशी माहितीही शहा यांना मिळाली आहे. अनेकदा पहाटे सर्व रहिवासी झोपेत असताना या कारखान्यांमधून मोठय़ा प्रमाणात धूर सोडला जातो. देशातील एक आदर्श शहर म्हणून नावारुपास येणाऱ्या ठाणे शहरात सर्व नियम धाब्यावर बसवून केले जाणारे प्रदूषण येथील रहिवाशांच्या आरोग्यास घातक आहे. तेव्हा येथील लोकप्रतिनिधी आणि प्रशासनाने एक तर हे कारखाने अन्यत्र स्थलांतरीत करावेत, किंवा त्यांना प्रदूषणाच्या नियमांचे काटेकोरपणे पालन करण्यास भाग पाडावे, अशी घोडबंदरवासियांची मागणी आहे.

Breakage of Traffic Rules By Ghanta Gadis of TMC

Traffic Rules are not applicable for Ghanta Gadis of Thane Municipal Corporation.

Since Sept, 2009, I am taking this issue of Breakage of Traffic Rules by Ghanta Gadis of Thane Municipal Corporation, but till day, these Ghanta Gadis are breaking all traffic rules without any fear.

In this photo you can very well see Ghanta Gadi driving on a wrong side of Ghodbunder Road ( Which is a HIGHWAY and not any small GALLI ) .

Now go through following second photo :




In this photo you can see Ghanta Gadi, crossing a signal from wrong side. Naturally for such a crossing there will not be a green signal at any moment.

At regular intervals I have forwarded photos of these Gadis as well as given their registration nos. to The Commissioner of Thane Municipal Corporation, as well as to DCP , Traffic , Thane.

Still, these Ghanta Gadis are seen happy breaking all Traffic Rules.

In the past, I had shown this to one young traffic Hawaldar who was luckily present at that spot, I was shocked with his reply. His reply was " They are Ghanta Gadis".

I feel that in INDIA , traffic rules are not applicable to vehicles of corporators, vehicles of MLAs, vehicles of MPS, S.T. buses, TMT buses, Police vehicles, Vehicles with RED light on it, Vehicles with Yellow light on it, Vehicles with DARK GLASSES, Vehicles with symbol of political parties on their number plates etc. etc.

It has been also observed that 99 % of POLICE doesn’t wear HELMET, but they are seen catching common two wheelers riders for not wearing helmets.

I strongly feel that INDIAN GOVERNMENT should make a rule that all the Government employees, ministers, corporators , politicians are EXEMPTED from the TRAFFIC RULES.

Are we really heading for a SUPER POWER or MISUSING POWER ?

There are several other traffic issues in Thane which are to be handled with priority. Few of the issues are
1. ) S.T. buses, TMT buses, Police Jeeps, TMC Ghanta Gadis, Govt. Vehicles etc. doesn't follow any of the Traffic Rules. These vehicles break Red Single and Traffic Police present at that spot ignore these vehicles.

2. ) At various locations many vehicles including Ghanta Gadis of TMC drive from the wrong side of the road and cross the signal from the wrong side and in very dangerous manner. Photographs of these vehicles with their reg. nos. were forwarded to Traffic Police Dept as well as to TMC commissioner, but still no improvement.

It is my feeling that not only in Thane but in INDIA, rules are to be followed only by common citizens and not at all by Govt. Employees , Politicians, Govt. Vehicles, S.T. buses, Local Public Transport buses, Auto Rickshaws etc.

With this ATTITUDE , How India will become SUPER POWER ?

There should be DRASTIC change in the mentality of lot of individuals.

Our new year was started with breathing such polluted air.

It is very pity that not a single authority is interested in solving this serious issue which has direct impact on HUMAN HEALTH.
