I am not against DOGS , I am against EXPONENTIAL GROWTH IN POPULATTION of STRAY DOGS.

-          In INDIA approx. 2.0 to 2.25  Cr. Stray dogs are there.

-          Every Year around 34,000 to 35,000 deaths takes place due to RABIES in INDIA.

-          Small children are majority in the above mentioned deaths.

-          Around 36 % of the deaths due to DOG BITES are in INDIA.

-          Many developed nations killed Lacs of stray dogs.

-          Every year approx. 5.00 LAC INDIAN take Injection after Dog Bite. So India is a huge market for multinational pharma companies who produce these injections. As in developed nations there is no market for these  injections as they do not have Stray Dogs, for these Multinational Pharma Companies , INIDA is the biggest market their injections. It is heard that these pharma companies want issue of stray dogs to be alive.

-          Thane City has around 45,000 STRAY DOGS . if we take a population of Thane as 15.00 Lacs, which means that for every 33 Thanekar 1 Stray Dog is there.

-          Looking at the UNCONTROLLED growth of population of STRAY DOGS, after 2 years, after every 15 Thanekar 1 Stray Dog will be  there and after 4 years, after every 5 Thanekar 1 Stray Dog will be there.

-          The stray dog menace is in fact a grave problem in India and the authorities should act immediately to tackle this issue seriously and effectively.

-          In Mumbai, where more than 80,000 people reported being bitten last year

-          It is a shocking fact that up till now only 2 patients suffering from RABIES have survived. In short only DEATH is a outcome of RABIES.
-
-          Dog bites cause 99 percent of human rabies deaths.
-
-          Stray dogs are dangerous not only because of their teeth but also because they help ticks and other parasites thrive.
-
-          On an average 12 people are bitten by stray dogs per MINUTE somewhere in Bangalore.
-
-          From the reports of the stray dog menace, it is sad to observe that kids are the main victims.
-
-          Stray Dogs  also pose a lot threat to road commuters, especially to cyclists and two wheelers, traveling at dusk. They chase these travellers, in most cases, cross frenziedly across the streets unexpected. The result is obvious, the travelers hurt and left to bleed on the road side and in some cruel cases, attacked by these ruthless packs. With their bites, men are at the risk of contracting Rabies.
-
-          In fact stray dogs pose a lot threat to POLICE as they have to go for patrolling at ODD times and to places where Stray Dogs Population is much more.
-
-          Rabies is transmitted to humans with the bite of a rabid dog. Their saliva carries the virus, which enters the human body through the wounds. This virus affects our Central Nervous System, causing the inflammation of the brain. In the early stages of this disease, the symptoms are malaise, fever and headache; while in the later stages huge pain, violent movements, uncontrolled excitements, depressions and inability to swallow water (hydrophobia) accompanies. Coma and eventually death due to respiratory insufficiency is certain.
-

-
-          A female dog on the street can give birth to approximately 12 puppies over a year. Six of these have a good chance of growing up into fertile adults. A male, on the other hand, can mate with at least four females and contribute approximately twenty-four puppies. Together there can be at least 30 fertile dogs from the first batch of just one pair of male and female. At 50% sex ratio, there will be 15 fertile males and 15 available female. The females can give birth to at least 90 more puppies (six each), while the males (each with four wives) can contribute as many as 360 puppies by the end of the year. This third generation-450 males and females-will produce up to 6,750 fertile dogs.
