On Saturday, 18th July, 2009, we residents of GHODBUNDER ROAD, THANE ( Who are affected by AIR POLLUTION CREATED BY FEW INDUSTIRES ) staged DHARANA ANDOLAN in front of the Regional office of Maharashtra Pollution Control Board, Thane under the leadershiop of Honorable Shri Sanjay Kelkar - M.L.C. - Maharashtra State.
Many residents including senior citizens, ladies, school going boys from following affected housing societies

2.)Shruti Park, Kolshet Road , Thane (W) - 400 607 - Affected by Shanti Textiles
3.)Runwal Regency , Majiwada , Thane (W) - 400 607. - affected by Ravi Steel.
4.)Orchid Complex, Bougan Villa, Majiwada Village, Thane West - 400 607 - affected by Ravi Steel.
5.)Parameshwari Paradise C.H.S., Majiwada , Thane (W) - 400 607. - affected by Ravi Steel.

Many of the senior dignitaries from THANE BJP unit like Dyputy Mayor, Waghole Sahed , Milind Patankar Saheb, were present on this occassion.
Honorable Shri Sanjay Kelkarji elaborated about the reason behind DHARANA ANDOLAN . Few residents expressed their problems because of the pollution.
